As I've gotten older, (or maybe it was those couple of years of forced staying at home), I really care about wearing cute pyjamas...or as my daughters and I refer to it, "Upping your pyjama game". And where I live you really need different pyjamas in summer vs. winter. So today, I decided to paint myself, in my pyjamas, into my big still-life...and in the spirit of 'maximalism' (and I'm ALWAYS up for maximalism: in home decor, in gardens, in my paintings...because, well, more IS more) I made the breakfast table laden and groaning with orchids, crockery, fruits and veg. It is not quite truthful, because I am a "just coffee" girl until at least noon...but this situation WOULD make my husband super happy...so I'll start with painting it, and maybe eventually make this dream scenario a reality for my dear husband!
