I am thinking a lot about 're-framing' and 'editing' my life these days. And one big thing is how you 'see' life. My son gave me this birthday card 9 years ago, "Life's a bitch, and then it has puppies". I've kept it on my bulletin board above my desk because it makes me laugh...AND, sometimes feels kinda true (these last couple weeks???)....But is it true? During this time period, I slowly painted this beach scene. And as I was working my way through it, I was thinking, "Life's also a beach"...there are places and people who are big bodies of healing water, there is shelter and soft cushions. There are "umbrellas" everywhere in life...we just have to put them up and get under them. I think I'm gonna try to go with "Life's a beach".
